Winter Hair Protection
The cold weather as moved in so here are some simple steps to keep your hair moisturized and protected!
As many curly girls know winter months are not so great for our hair but here are some simple things that can be done to protect the moisture.
Deep condition
Deep conditioning your hair at least once a month will help with restoring moisture, soften, add shine and strength back.
Wear protective styles
Protective styles such as braids, buns, wigs, hair wraps, or other great styles will keep your hair protected from the harsh cold wind.
Leave-in Conditioners
Using a good leave-in conditioner daily or weekly to replenish moisture and combat the effects of hot styling tools, indoor heating, and cold winter winds. Static is a common occurrence when your hair is subject to cold weather.
Satin-lining in hats and wraps
If possible try to find hats and wraps that have statin lining. This help your hair from breakage from being caught in the fibers and helps retain moisture. Just remember cotton absorbs moisture and that goes for pillow cases too. Sleep in a satin bonnet or on statin pillows.
Protect your hair as much as you can. We know you have worked hard in your hair care journey to grow and repair your hair.
